RTI is pleased to announce three new intakes for some of our most popular courses commencing this year – the return of our Intro to Voice Over Course, a revamped Podcasting Course, and the next intake of our Advanced Radio Course!

Intro to Voice Over

October 7 and 8, 2017

RTI’s Intro to Voice Over course is aimed for people with no experience in voice over work, or for people who may come from a related background, such as performing arts or community radio. The course is about preparing you to gain the skills required for a commercial voice over artist, and to get regular work in the voice over industry.

Podcasting

September 21 – October 19, 2017 – now on Thursday nights!

So many of you have been interested in RTI’s Podcasting course, but have been unable to attend on weekends, so we’re pleased to announce it’s moving to Thursday nights! We’ve also revamped it to look at each topic more in-depth, and as a result, the course will now run over five consecutive Thursday nights.

The course lecturers are all experienced podcasters and radio professionals who will cover a diverse set of skills, including the basics of audio production, mic set up, soundproofing, recording, and editing, through to how to create new ideas, helpful tips on storytelling, as well as how to grow your audience online.

Advanced Radio

Commences October 30, 2017

RTI’s Advanced Radio Course is back! Over nearly six months, you’ll get hands-on experience in just about every aspect of broadcast radio, from on air, to audio production, to copywriting, to voiceover; plus news and interviews, online content and social media, music scheduling and formats, how to create a radio demo, and more!

You’ll pick up valuable tips and advice from people who are in the industry right now, as well as take part in two broadcast simulation weeks, and spend a week’s work placement at a real radio station!

This course is well suited for people who already have some experience in community radio, or who know they want a career in radio.

The course will run Mondays and Tuesdays, 5:30pm – 9:30pm, from October 30 until December 12, 2017, then January 29 until May 15, 2018; plus two major live broadcast simulation weeks, and one week of work experience.

NEW: We now have 12-month payment plans available for our Advanced Radio Course! For more information, speak with our General Manager, Heidi Everett, when you enrol.
